Vice President Amissah-Arthur Ends Northern Regional Tour

Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, has ended his five day tour of the Upper West, Upper East and Northern Regions with a call on traditional rulers and religious leaders to continue to lead in efforts towards peace. He said it is only when there is peace that development can take place. Speaking at the palaces of Gukpenaa, Dakpema, Bonlana as well as the Tamale Central Mosque and the authorities at the Anbariya Junior High School, all in the Tamale metropolis he expressed regret over projects the NDC began but were abandoned during the NPP regime. He said these projects have been continued and they are at different stages of completion. The five day visit enabled the Vice President to introduce himself to traditional rulers, religious leaders and Ghanaians after assumption of office. Vice President Amissah-Arthur said the NDC believes strongly that it will win the December elections. It will therefore not do anything to disturb the peace of the country. Vice President Amissah-Arthur commended the chiefs and religious leaders for working hard to maintaining the country�s peace. The religious leaders and the traditional authorities prayed for him and President Mahama to be successful in the December elections.
