The Ghana Federation of the Disabled has condemned what it describes as the raw deal given to the Chairman of the Disability Council by the ruling NDC. Andrew Okaikoi was replaced as the party�s parliamentary candidate for Okaikoi north just a week to the filing of nominations. Andrew Okaikoi, who is physically-challenged, has since filed his nomination as an Independent Candidate. Newly elected President of the Federation Yaw Ofori Debrah in an interview with XYZ News said the unfair treatment of Andrew Okaikoi will demoralize other physically challenged persons from vying for political office. �When it turned out that he [Andrew Okaikoi] has been technically knocked out and the way he was thrown out it really disturbed us. Also after he had invested so much [in the campaign]� Mr. Okai said.
