The First Presidential IEA Debate is now history but subject of comment by the media and other professional bodies. The GJA for instance sees it as a lesson for politicians to try to build on their communication process in the ensuing debate. The Vice President of the GJA, Roland Affail Monney, in his analysis said the capacity to listen is key to effective communication. The Research Fellow of the TUC, Kwabena Otoo, said on the whole the Presidential Candidates did well. However, on the specific issue of job creation, all the candidates were lacking the tools and ingredients to create jobs for Ghanaians. Mr. Otoo said the short term measures spelt out by the candidates are not adequate to solve the mass unemployment situation in the country. A Legal Practitioner Kakra Essamuah in his view said it was a day for Ghanaians to determine the capacity of the candidates.
