The Presidential Candidate of the NPP, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has defended his decision to build hostels for porters popularly known as "kayayie". He said the decision is born out of the fact the 'kayayie' need shelter and skills training. Addressing students of the Nyankpala Campus of UDS, Nana Addo said his party believes that, this is not how a society must treat its vulnerable groups. The New Patriotic Party will therefore tackle the problem by implementing an ideal Social Housing Hostels for the short term while putting in effective programmes as a long term measure.
