Hiplife artiste, Edem, Friday night refused to have a �chit- chat� on stage for his fans in Keta which appeared to be a snub. After a great performance of his hit tracks including �Ghetto arise�, �Over again�, �Madekuku� and several others that lasted for close to an hour at a street jam organized by Adom fm in Keta to mark the 50th anniversary of the popular Hogbetsotso festival, the �Ayigbe� rapper refused to have a chit chat on stage with the host of Adom Fm�s Work and Happiness show, Jerry Justice, who was the mc of the jam. Edem, to the dismay of his �countrymen fans� hurriedly walked off the stage after his performance as the MC called his name to come back and have a word with the fans. With the help of his personal aides, the 2010 G.M.A hip hop/hiplife song of the year winner refused to return to the stage. He rushed to his white 4x4 vehicle and drove off even though some of the fans followed him with cheers that suggested they love him and even wanted to take pictures with him. Further checks later revealed that, Edem had told the organizers before the show that he had an exam the next day in Accra and so was upon request allowed to perform earlier than his schedule though he was the main act of the night. This apparently was given as the reason for the �snub� by one of his followers. The MC, who was obviously disturbed by Edem�s refusal to come back on stage, told www.adomonline.com that though he was surprised at the artiste�s action, he toook it as one of those bad moments of his job. �I don�t think he has anything personal against me but I have forgotten about it though I was hurt, I take it as an occupational Hazard,� Jerry Justice said.
