Kotoko Planning Send-off Match For Stephen Oduro

Asante Kotoko are looking to organize a friendly match in honour of midfielder Stephen Oduro. The 29-year-olds contract with the champions expired last month. Oduro spent a cumulative twelve years with the Porcupine Warriors during which period he has endeared himself to the clubs supporters. Majority of the clubs fans were agitating for a new contract be offered the ex Real Tamale United player. But the teams inability to assure the veteran play maker regular first team action meant his services would largely be redundant at Kotoko. There were talks of a planned fully-paid coaching course for Oduro but the club has decided to organize a testimonial match in his honour instead. Stephen (Oduro) has been talked to and an understanding has been reached to a promise of a testimonial match for him, Kotokos Administrative Manager Ben Nti told Angel FM. His contract ended on October 1st and we are looking for the opportune time to organize a befitting send off for him. We dont want to do things haphazardly, we want him to get the right treatment and that is what we are looking to do.
