ECG To Cushion Businesses In Residential Areas

The Electricity Company of Ghana has assured businesses located within residential areas that it will find ways of distributing power to them during off peak period. ECG has been criticized by companies located in residential areas. But a director of the power distributor, Robert Dwamena says the company will soon adopt a method to distribute power to businesses in residential areas. He was speaking at a recent meeting with Senior Journalists and editors in Accra. He said the ECG will make sure that where there are lot of offices, they will find ingenious ways of providing them with power to aid their work during the day. Mr Dwamena also said the ECG is partnering with the Energy Foundation to embark on an intensive education on energy conservation. "We have over the period tried to carry out some education on this but I think we�ve not done too work on that� We hope that in the coming weeks you we'll hear about education on efficient use of electricity," he said.
