Mario Balotelli's Brother Enoch Signs For Salford City
Salford City have signed the brother of Manchester City and Italy striker Mario Balotelli, Enoch, on non-contract terms.
City are ninth in the Northern Premier League First Division North.
The 20-year-old forward, who had trials with several English clubs including Stoke last season, told BBC Sport: I am more than happy to join Salford.
I just want to play football. I trained with them last night, I enjoyed it, so I signed.
Chairman Darren Quick told BBC North West Sport: Hes been training with us and hes signed for us, subject to international clearance.
Its great for Salford. We hope he can play a few games for us and he can use it as a stepping stone to find a level more suited to him.
Ive not met him but Im told hes a really nice lad and a really good footballer.
We play a decent standard of football but some lads dont want to drop to that level.
These things can work for both parties. We might get a few more through the gate, and maybe his brother might even come and watch us.
The club have said it could take up to two weeks for international clearance to come through.
Balotellis brother Mario, 22, joined City in August 2010 for a reported fee of around 24m.
