Our Constitution Says Every Prez Is Entitled To Run For 2 Terms - Prez Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama says Ghanaians should give him a second term to be able to complete everything that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has set out to do. Speaking to party supporters in the Lower Manya Krobo constituency as part of his tour of the Eastern Region, President Mahama was emphatic that it is a constitutional obligation for every sitting president to be given a second term in office. According to him, the first four years of every government is used to prepare the grounds just like building a house. He said when building a house, you lay the foundation and then later, you complete with the structures; the same way the foundation is laid in the first four years of any government and then completed in the next term of office. Hence, Ghanaians should give him a second term in office to complete the building which the NDC government has started. Our constitution says any president that will ascend the seat of government is entitled to run for two terms. Four years is not enough to be able to achieve one's promises or visions. The first four years is to prepare the grounds and put up a foundation. Then the next term that will be given will be used to complete the buildingthe power cannot be given to a different person to complete it and that is why you should vote for the NDC, he said.
