Barton Odro Will Answer For Woyome Judgement Debts - Nduom

The Presidential candidate of the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP), Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom has cautioned government functionaries and party leaders that his government, once voted into office, would haul to the courts of law any persons involved in acts that have led to the state losing monies inappropriately. He stated categorically the Deputy Attorney General, Mr. Barton-Odro and all other government functionaries that contributed to the state losing GHC 51 million Ghana cedi to Businessman Alfred Woyome, to be ready to face the law. Businessman and NDC financier, Mr Alfred Woyome has been dragged to the courts by the state for allegedly duping the state to the tune of GHC51 million Ghana cedis. According to the PPP flagbearer, the state has a case against Mr Woyome because he did not have no contract with the Government of Ghana. ... as far as I am concerned, Woyome has a case to answer, I am communicating to Mr Odro to not only get ready to lose his seat but also be prepared to answer questions on the Woyome saga..., he said. Dr Nduom told a gathering of Students of the Cape Coast Polytechnic that this was one of the steps the PPP administration would take to protect the national purse. Other government functionaries, he said, would account for monies spent unjustly at the court of law when the PPP assumes the reins of power. If anyone has taken Ghanas money, he would be made to account for it come 2013..., he added. He called on the students to communicate to the Member of Parliament, MP for Cape Coast North and Deputy Attorney General that he was going to lose his seat to the PPP Parliamentary candidate for that constituency. Dr Nduom also explained to the students the PPPs policy on job creation and encouraged them to vote the party into power on December 7th to implement them. We of the PPP know the value of Polytechnic education and we can assure you that the PPP government would implement practical steps that would ensure that every student exiting a tertiary education would be employed. Let me tell you how some of the jobs will be created, the Asebu Juice Factory will be resuscitated , cooking oil will be produced with our soya bean and groundnut to halt its importation, a gold refinery will come, petro chemical industry, a new refinery to refine our crude oil. We will also provide technical and financial support and protect the private sector to provide the jobs. He added.
