Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has waded into the current controversy over the Electoral Commission�s declaration of results that confirmed President Mahama as winner of last Friday�s polls. In a meeting with AU Chairman Yaya Boni, President Kufuor blamed the EC for current agitation by NPP supporters and accused the commission for engaging in acts beyond its constitutional mandate. He added that the EC failed in conducting a credible electoral process considering the malfunctioning of verification machines that characterized the elections on voting day. �The Electoral Commission of Ghana over the last two years has behaved as if it is above the constitution that created it; it has done so many things that need to be looked into. �The Electoral Commission has played a very foul game after using the states money unaccountably, so if there is any trouble it is the electoral commission not the politician� Ex President Kufuor said.
