MP elect for Bolgatanga East provides support for construction of school

Dr Dominic Ayine, Member of Parliament (MP) elect for the Bolgatanga East Constituency, at the weekend presented 100 bags of cement and 10 trips of sand to the Nyorkuko Community. The cement and sand, valued at Gh�3,200, would be used for the construction of a basic school in the Nyorkuko Community near Zuarungu in the Bolgatanga Municipality. School children in three communities namely Nyorkoku, Kangoo and Sakara are to benefit from the facility. Currently the area lacks a basic school and as result pupils in the community attend classes in a church and a house built by a community member. The MP, though he had not started receiving the MPs Common Fund, is using his personal resources for the construction of the three-classroom block including an office and store room with labour to provided by the community members. Making the presentation to the chiefs and elders of the community, Mr Joseph Akula, Campaign Manager of the MP, said the school project was in fulfilment of a promise made by the MP elect during his campaign. He appealed to the people to rally behind the MP so he could continue to deliver on his promises and entreated them to provide communal labour for the project. Mr James Nsoyuri Alolbila, Constituency Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, commended the people for voting massively for the party�s Presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama and the MP. He said the MP�s priority was to provide school infrastructure, health facilities, roads, dams, and electricity indicating he would fulfil all the promises in his manifesto. He urged them to ensure that the current peace in the area prevailed to enable them to benefit from the numerous projects the MP and the government intended to undertake in the communities. The chiefs, elders, youth and women groups from the three communities thanked the MP elect for his kind gesture and said it would go down in history particularly for the future generation and appealed to him to endeavour to fulfil all his promises. The Bolgatanga East Constituency is among the newly created constituencies in the region.
