Publisher, CEO and Editor-In-Chief of the Enquirer, Mr. Raymond Archer has hit back at Alfred Woyome, saying he is nothing but a common thief and a conman suffering from excessive hallucinations which make him crave for the attention. Mr. Archer said he does not want to reduce himself to that of Woyome because everything he talks about is lies and a figment of his thieving imaginations. Woyome who almost brought down the Mills government is at it again, trying to smear the new John Mahama administrative with this same judgement debt matter. It is pure blackmail,� he told the Enquirer yesterday. Mr. Archer said, he is surprised that people take him that serious adding that if there is anyone who knows Woyome it is he, Archer, adding that �as for me, he can�t defraud me, he is a joker. He admitted that he used to be friends with Woyome for about a year and half, but he cut him off because of his thievery and using of people�s name to peddle all kinds of influence. Mr. Archer revealed that when the NPP was in government, Woyome pulled the biggest heist against him �and that was the first time I got the signal that I was dealing with a thief.� �When we were doing the Kufuor kickback scandal, Woyome approached me for a copy of the kickback tape but I refused. He waited for me to step out of the office then sneaked to my office and told my staff that I had asked him to pick a copy of the tape for safekeeping. �As soon as he got the tape, he went and sold it to National Security, so that they would neutralize the story. When I found out, he told me that he gave the tape he stole from my office to her boss, the Honorary Consul to Austria, who told me Woyome was lying,� Mr. Archer said. Mr. Archer noted that, Woyome�s action occurred after he had resisted an attempt to bribe him to drop the story. At a meeting between myself, Woyome and Ernesto Tariconi and another officer from Waterville, I was prevailed upon to stop the Kickback story on Kufuor because Kufuor said if they manage to convince me to stop, he will sign their stadium contract. They made all manner of promises but I refused. Then Woyome came to my office and stole the tape,� he revealed. �It�s a pity that as soon as NDC won elections it was this same Woyome who became an NDC, and used Rawlings� name to penetrate the transition commission, until he was chased out of the Castle by Late President Mills,� Mr. Archer further revealed. He noted that it is a dubious habit of Woyome which compelled former President Rawlings to issue a public statement against him, accusing him of using his name for dubious deals. Mr. Archer said Woyome was nothing but an errand boy at the Austrian Consul, explaining that he was only appointed to the position of Deputy Honorary Consul of Austria in Accra because he was being used as an errand boy for the owners of M-Pawapac, a company whose cash he stole. Mr. Archer revealed that Woyome was so corrupt that the Austrian Embassy in Nigeria had to force him to resign from the position. He added that, onetime when the owners of M-Pawapak were traveling, they appointed Woyome as an alternate director of the company for only 12 month months while they were away because under the law, all the directors of the company are not allowed to travel out of the country. He and some of his family members dissipated the coffers of the company and almost brought it to its knees. �When the owners came back from Austria and they asked Woyome the whereabouts of the money, he denied stealing the money until I was asked to investigate the case. After the investigation, it turned out that he stole the money. Eventually, he went and wrote an undertaking admitting the theft. That is the kind of man we are dealing with,� Mr. Archer said. �Now that he has opened his crooked mouth, I will strip him naked,� he vowed, saying that �in his whole life he has been like this.� �Even when he was chased out of the Consulate he continued to use the title until the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a disclaimer to the Ghana Ministry for Foreign Affairs asking him to desist from such fraudulent acts,� he added. �For this Stadium contracts which has landed him in trouble, when they applied for the MIGA funds for the projects, there was a requirement that to be qualified for the fund, they had to register as an American company. I was the one who asked my friends in the US to help them, eventually, all the people who were paraded to help Woyome all claim he has dribbled them,� Mr. Archer further disclosed. �But for me that thief wouldn�t have traveled to the US, now he is the one walking around and paying journalists to broadcast all sorts of libelous things about me. But that is what happens when journalists sell their conscience for Christmas goodies and refuse to interrogate the issues spewed out on their platforms. I will patiently wait for the right time when our court case is over so they can see the disgrace that will befall them.� Mr. Archer said. Mr. Archer noted that he does not want to rock the boat about the incidents which led to Woyome being paid the cash of his life, saying �Woyome never dreamt in his life that he would ever see cash like that let alone own it, so it is making him behave like a mad man.� He noted that he has nothing to do with the writing of the EOCO report, saying �I don�t even know who wrote it. EOCO is headed by very competent personalities like Kweku Mortey, a lawyer and an intelligence man, and Justice Tsar, a distinguished BNI office, who was tipped to head the BNI some years back.� �The guy is just hallucinating,� he added.
