Call To Make Education Hub For Development

The New Juaben Municipal Secretary of the Ghana National Association of Teachers, George Aboagye, has called on government to ensure that education becomes the means of development of the country. He said in past political campaigns, education and the role of teachers had always taken centre stage and now it is time for the government to implement policies that will motivate teachers to do their best and the education sector to propel the development of the country. Mr Aboagye was speaking to the GNA on his New Year Message to teachers in the municipality in Koforidua. He congratulated teachers in the New Juaben Municipality on their hard and working under very trying conditions. Mr Aboagye urged them to develop the self-motivation spirit to face new challenges and was hopeful that the New Year will bring new opportunities for teachers and policies that will encourage all stakeholders in education to contribute their quota to help improve teaching and learning.
