TEIN-Ho Poly Chapter congratulates Adjaho

The Tertiary Institutions Network (TEIN)s of National Democratic Congress, Ho Polytechnic Chapter on Friday lauded the unanimity associated with the election of Mr Edward Doe Adjaho as Speaker of the sixth Parliament of Ghana. A congratulatory statement signed by Desmond Mensah, President, asked Mr Adjaho to �see that unanimity of his endorsement and mass solidarity from across the country as a moral burden on him to unite and galvanise the legislature to propel the �Better Ghana Agenda�. It called for �greater tolerance of dissenting views and consensus building in the august House under his stewardship�. �We hope he (Mr Adjaho) would use his office to entreat members on the majority side especially those who may be appointed by the President to avoid the pitfalls of the past appointees of turning their back against we the foot soldiers whose collective struggle, resilience and indefatigable stance gave us this well deserved victory, �the statement said. It said Mr Adjaho�s �prowess in Parliamentary business,� achievements for his constituents (Ave-Avenor) during his five-term tenure and track record as Board Chairman of National Health Insurance Authority identifies him as an achiever. �On behalf of the student wing of the party, the youth and the people of the Volta Region we say congratulations once again for making us proud by the singular feat as the first Voltarian to head the Legislature,� the statement concluded.
