Spokesperson for former President John Rawlings, Kofi Adams has told Citi News he has a greater chance of winning the vacant Buem seat.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is due to organize primaries for the Buem seat which became vacant after the death of MP-elect, Henry Ford Kamel.
The Electoral Commission has set February 26 for the by-election.
Speaking to Citi News, Mr. Adams expressed confidence that his contributions to the party in the constituency will pay off.
We are going to have the party primaries to select a party candidate but I have a very bright chance to be elected by the people to represent the constituency. That I am very convinced about but like you said, its God ordained so we will have to wait for the manifestation of Gods wishes in terms of work that must be done in the constituency and the appreciation of the constituency fully appreciates what I have done.
According to him, he has worked with many of the constituents saying, I am somebody who does things and dont make noise. Even working with the late MP, I did a lot; I dont go round making noise about it. I have done quite a lot and that is what is reflecting now.
In a related development, the Electoral Commission will organize another by-election for the vacant Akatsi South seat because the sitting MP, Doe Adzaho has been elevated to the position of Speaker of Parliament.
