The Member of Parliament(MP)for Obuasi East, Hon. Edward Ennin has brusquely accused the ruling National Democratic Congress(NDC) for being the brains behind the distribution of Alan Kyeremanten for 2016 campaign posters that surfaced on monday in various regions. The posters, bearing the images of the 2008 and 2012 failed NPP presidential aspirant with the inscription, "2016 Alan Kyeremanten, New Hope" were well advertised in some part of Ashanti Region, Volta Region and Eastern Region. But in an attempt to deflate the notion that the act might have stemmed from within the NPP, Hon. Ennin stated that the former Trade Minister has no idea about where the posters had emanated from. He further claimed that Mr. Kyeremanten would never seek to bruise the wounds of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) at this wobbling time when all activists were working to strengthen the unity in the party. �I was driving through the Asawase area, which is a known stronghold of the NDC and I saw the Alan Kyeremanten posters. I realized that the picture they used for the poster is an old picture of Mr. Kyeremanten. The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP told me they suspect it is a plot from the NDC. I took it upon myself to investigate the matter so I called the brother of Mr. Kyeremanten to find certain things out. He told me, Alan had authorized them to tell people he has no connection with what is going on�, Mr. Ennin claimed. In an interview oN Okay FM, Hon. Ennin called on all NPP sympathizers to remain vigilant and thwart the NDC�s plot to destabilize the unity in their party.
