It Is Irresponsible To Say Prez Mahama Goofed On Appointing "Three Wise Men" - Nii Lantey Vanderpuye

A former Presidential staffer, Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuye has posited that it is irresponsible for anyone to say that President Mahama goofed in his appointment of the three wise men. This comment comes in wake of todays banner headline of the Daily Searchlight newspaper headlined: Mahama is Goofing...On Three Wise Men Appointment! According to the story, Dr. Michael Kpesah Whyte says the appointment of the three persons (three wise men): E.T. Mensah, Alban Bagbin and Cletus Avoka to coordinate the implementation of Presidential priority projects will likely create institutional conflicts and institutional ambiguity. Speaking as a panelist on Metro TVs Good Morning Ghana programme with host, Josephine Oppong-Yeboah, Nii Lantey Vanderpuye who is also the Member of Parliament(MP) for Odododiodioo constituency, says there was no need for the Editor to use words like goofing especially since it was not a direct quotation from Dr. Kpesah Whyte. Referring to Ken Kuranchie, Editor of the Daily Searchlight newspaper, he (Nii Lantey) said his (Editor) use of the word goofing means he does not show respect to the President, John Dramani Mahama. Its irresponsible to say that the president has goofed. The fact that you have access to the pen does not mean you can say anything you want. It shows disrespect to say that the president has goofed, he said.
