PEACEFM's Emmanuel Akorli Tops All

Members of the Parliamentary Press Corps - a group of journalists and media practitioners who report from Ghana�s legislature -last week held their annual get-together and awards ceremony at Parliament House in Accra. The occasion was graced by the First Deputy Speaker of the House, Ebo Barton-Oduro, the administrator of the District Assemblies Common Fund, Kojo Fynn, and Directors of the various Departments of Parliament among other top dignitaries. The event which was also used to reward and recognise hard-working members of the corps was organised under the auspices of His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana. Emmanuel Akorli of Peace FM in Accra was adjudged the overall winner for best Parliamentary Reporter in the newly instituted Parliamentary Press Corps Awards. Other award winners were Prince Joe Boadi a correspondent for Obuaba Fm, Kyzz fm, and Angel FM, who won the most hardworking personality award, Stephen Odoi-Larbi of the Chronicle newspaper was awarded for being the most disciplined member of the group while Nana Kwesi Agyemang Binkorang came tops as the most punctual and regular member. The rest of the award winners included Kwaku Sakyi-Danso of Choice FM and Akua Boakyewaa Yiadom of Hot FM as the best dressed gentlemen and lady respectively.
