Finance Minister Designate Might Be Honest But... - John Boadu

A Deputy Director of Communications of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu, has advised Seth Terkper, Minister designate for Finance to manage his human relations carefully if he wants to be successful at his new job. John Boadu alluded to the fact that, as much as discipline is very important in every organization, if he does not have good human relations with his staff, he will not be able to efficiently perform his duties even though he might have the experience and capability. His comment comes in wake of the appointments committees vetting on Thursday and a question posed to Seth Terkper by Hon. Baba Jamal, NDC MP for the Akwatia constituency. The NDC MP asked Seth Terkper whether it was true that he had a poor working relationship with his colleagues and other staff members. Speaking as a panelist on Peace FM's "kokrokoo" programme, John Boadu described Seth Terkper as an honest man who could discharge his duties judiciously if he gets assistance, adding he must maintain a balance between his work and his human relations. If we look at his demeanor, we all need to help him. If you look at the question he answered from Baba Jamal, if he is not too careful and does not maintain a balance, it can create problems for him; even though he can do the work. He needs to manage his human relations carefully so that he can function effectively,he said.
