A Policy Analyst of the People's National Convention (PNC), Atik Mohammed agrees with the New Patriotic Party�s (NPP) position to boycott the Parliamentary vetting proceedings. The NPP a few days ago, at a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting decided not to attend the vetting of President Mahama�s nominees. True to their word, on the first and second day of the vetting proceedings, the NPP minority in Parliament did not show up. Critically analyzing the stand of the NPP, Atik Mohammed indicated that there is nothing wrong with the boycott and that it will be illogical to be against the declaration of President Mahama as the winner of the 2012 December elections and go on to vet his nominees. The decision not to be part of the vetting process makes both logical and political sense� I will be glad in taking part in such actions because I believe that the elections was far from being fair, transparent and free�if there is an action to correct those wrongs, we will support it�� �The mass action, I support it, the demonstrations, I support it, the boycott of the parliamentary vetting - it is both logical and it is political and I support it�, he said on Radio Gold�s Alhaji and Alhaji.
