Rabiu Mohammed Thrilled As Ghana Make Progress

Rabiu Mohammed has challenged his Black Stars team-mates to keep on improving at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations after Ghana reached the quarter-finals on Monday. The midfielder, one of the ten Nations Cup debutants in Ghana's team has been impressive after winning starts in the last two games for the Black Stars. Rabiu is delighted with the progress he has made and hopes to continue doing well for Ghana. Yeah, I have enjoyed my game, Rabiu told www.ghanafa.org. I thank God for giving me the opportunity to show myself and play. But its not finished now but I hope I can continue like this and also hope we can continue winning every match. Ghana, who beat Niger 3-0 to top their group will play Cape Verde on Saturday in a last eight match after the debutants qualified as runners-up from Group B. For Rabiu, the Black Stars kept their discipline to ward off a strong Nigerien side. I think team work and the way we disciplined ourselves on the pitch helped us to win the [Niger] match, he said. But we are not done yet. We have another difficult game against Cape Verde and hope we can do well and see where that takes us.
