South Africans Happy To Dodge Ghana

SCORES OF South Africans Monday evening openly expressed delight over their countrys clash with Mali instead of Ghana at the quarter final stage of the AFCON. Ghana topped Group B in Port Elizabeth whilst hosts South Africa finished tops in Group A, based in Durban. This means the two high flying teams could not clash in the quarter final stage of the highly competitive tournament. Some South Africans that spoke to DAILY GUIDE SPORTS at the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium in Port Elizabeth on Monday evening were delighted over the development. They said they had been praying fervently to God since the tournament started to help South Africa dodge Ghana in the knockout stages. One of the South Africans who gave her name as Phumeza was grateful to God for hearing the prayers of South Africans. She said Ghana boasts of very talented players who on any day could beat their opponents; therefore it was not prudent to clash with Ghana in the knockout stages. Another soccer fan by name Khumalo said South Africa was hosting the tournament to win. He described Ghana as one of the dangerous teams on parade that could thwart the efforts of South Africa if care was not taken, so he was happy that the two teams had avoided each other for now. For a final game anything can happen, since it is the last game of the competition, Khumalo said.
