The Prez Is Sleeping...He Is Not Sleeping B'cos of Erratic Power Supply But Other Issues

President John Dramani Mahama has been accused of deceiving Ghanaians in his assertion that he gets sleepless nights because of the recent power and water crisis the country is facing. The President delivering his State of the Nations Address in Parliament on Thursday, said: as president, I am adequately aware of the challenges and the extreme discomfort that this is causing to the generality of our people and business. Indeed Mr. Speaker, this situation causes me sleepless nights. However, a member of the Communication Team of the New Patriotic Party(NPP), John Boadu insists that President Mahama has been sleeping more soundly than ever. When you are nave, you believe anything anybody says...it is never true that he has sleepless nights because of light, petrol problems facing the country. I am telling you that he sleeps so soundly because all those measures he intends to put in place are already there...if he claims to have sleepless nights what does he do while awake in the night? The President is sleeping; he is not having sleepless nights, the NPP man stressed. Speaking to Kwami Sefa-Kayi during a panel discussion on Peace FMs kokrokoo programme on Friday, John Boadu intimated that if the President is having sleepless nights then it is because of a different issue and not the challenges facing the country, adding he should come out to say the actual reason for his sleepless night. If not, he should continue in his slumber and allow us to have our peace of mind...you sit unconcerned for Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) to collapse; because for about 8 months now Tema Oil Refinery is not working, and then you come and tell us of having sleepless nights, John said. On the other hand, spokesperson of the Rawlingses, Kofi Adams disagrees. If you dont have anything to say then just agree that the President has done well in his presentation. You dont have anything to say. If you dont have anything to say, you will be saying pedestrian things...that is what you(the NPP) are noted for; that is why you have lost an election and you will continue to lose elections unless you wise up, Kofi Adams said.
