Kotoko 3-3 Liberty: Kotoko Struggle To Earn A Draw Against Liberty

Asante Kotoko needed a late goal from the spot to salvage a point as they could only draw 3-3 with Liberty Professionals on Sunday in Kumasi. Liberty raced into a first half lead after 21 minutes when Kotoko defender Joseph Ochaya turned in the ball into his own goal. The slim scoreline separated both sides till the end of the opening half. But the second half saw five goals produced from both ends. Kennedy Ashia scored a brace to put Liberty a comfortable lead but Ransford Osei, Seidu Bansi pulled two goals back for Kotoko. Then in the final minute of normal time, Kwabena Adusei scored the equalizer to deny Liberty a win at the Baba Yara Stadium as both sides shared the spoils. In other matches, Prince Attakora Gyimah scored on his debut for Wa All Stars in their 1-0 home win over Heart of Lions. At the Robert Mensah Stadium, Ebusua Dwarfs were 2-0 winners against Aduana Stars while Berekum Chelsea could only draw goalless with AshantiGold at the Golden City Park.
