The siamese twins that were successfully separated on Tuesday after a complicated nine hour surgery by 17 doctors at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, have died.
The two, were both in critical condition and as such were being catered for at the Intensive Care Unit.
According to doctors, the first twin, named Gift, died on Wednesday due to a hole-in-heart complication that developed after the separation surgery.
The second twin, who was under constant monitoring, passed away on Thursday morning.
The mother of the twins is reported to be distraught by the death of her babies.
