Kosmos Energy marks one year of �Zero lost Time of Injury�

Kosmos Energy, a leading independent oil and gas exploration and production company, has marked one year of �zero lost time of injury� across its operations in the country. Dr. Kwame Boakye-Agyei, Director for Health, Safety, Environment and Security, who paid tribute to their subcontractors lauded their conscious effort on-site to ensure health and safety of their employees. He said, �This significant milestone is a fantastic achievement not only for Kosmos Energy Ghana, but for their valued subcontractors who have been on-site making conscious decisions regarding their Health and Safety.� Dr. Boakye-Agyei at a ceremony in Takoradi in the Western Region to mark the year, stressed that Kosmos Energy was committed to the safety and well-being of its employees, adding �In undertaking our business, we are mindful in such a way as to minimize the risks of injury to people and damage to property.� Mr. Chris Houlberg, Takoradi Base Manager of Kosmos, together with Mr. Divine Tetteh presented health and safety awards to some deserving employees� for their outstanding commitment to health and safety. At the ceremony were Mr. Darrell McKenna, the Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Gary Brooks, the V.P. for Health, Safety, Environment, and Security, and Ken Keag, the incoming V.P. and Country Manager.
