GWCL Boss: E.T. Mensah Feels Peeved Because I Prevented Him From Duping The Nation

The Managing Director of Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL), Mr. Kweku Botwe, has hit back at critics and media reports who tried to cast a slur on his image by alleging that missing cash, coupled with massive corruption and mismanagement, were the order of the day when he was still at post as the head of the institution. According to Mr. Kweku Botwe who revealed on Okay FM that he is currently on leave, there is a grand conspiracy between the former Water Resources Works and Housing Minister, Hon. E.T. Mensah, his cohorts and some media outlets to mar his reputation and create dissatisfaction for him because he denied the former Minister the opportunity to dupe the nation. You must go behind it and find out what really motivated people to set-up a community with the clear terms of reference...they jettison the terms of reference and choose to vilify Kweku Botwe because Kweku Botwe stands in the way of people who want to steal from this country...all they do is that name Kweku (Botwe), shame him and kill him for the simple reason that he has become a stumbling block to some of us who have our own personal agenda rather than serving the interest of the nation. I mention E.T Mensahs name and I dare him to come out. I want to have a one on one banter with him and lets deal with the matter, he said. We have sold truth for lies in this country. Anybody who wants to sacrifice and do something good for the nation, certain people just gang up to destroy his reputation...no monies got missing under my watch and I am sure the journalist who broke the story doesnt really know the true and the inside story, he said. In a reaction to a publication in the Herald newspaper, Mr. Botwe denied reports he had created a system at Amasaman using a company by name Messrs K. Adu Construction and Plumbing Works Limited, to callously bill consumers three times the price of the mandated rate by the Public Utility Regulatory Commission (PURC). He accused Hon. E.T. Mensah and his cronies of standing in-between good and perpetuating evil in the country. He laughed off media reports that he had been indicted whilst he is on normal leave. I have stood in his (E.T. Mensahs) way...he hasnt gotten his way with me and so he must collaborate with conspirators to do whatever he wants against me...that is the crux of the matter, he revealed.
