Nobody Can Stop Us - Let My Vote Count Alliance

The Member of Parliament for Tema East, Hon. Nii Kwartei Titus Glover, has stated that the modus operandi of the "Let My Vote Count Alliance (LMVCA) is not that of a terrorist group, but of a group that wants justice in the wake of the disputed 2012 elections. According to the Tema East MP, the constitution gives Ghanaians the freedom of association and "no power" in Ghana can stop Ghanaians from joining LMVCA in demanding for justice From the Supreme Court. "There is no body in Ghana that can stop the LMVCA alliance from undertaking its mandate of seeking justice," he charged. He made this known at rally held by the LMVCA and assured the gathering at the Dansoman Control Market that not even the Police, National Security, BNI, or John Mahama can cow the group into submission, further adding that justice will be done at the end of the day. He maintained that the 2012 election was rigged for John Mahama through the active connivance of the NDC and the Electoral Commission. He further stated that the GHc8.7 billion budget deficit his country has points to the reckless expenditure undertaken by the NDC government, especially in the last quarter of 2012, heading into the general election. He pointed out the GHc600 million in excess expenditure undertaken by the Office of John Mahama, the GHc300 million NADMO spent and also the GHc300 million spent by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, as evidence of the use of state funds to buy votes. He assured the crowd that the evidence by the three petitioners was very strong and the Supreme Court will declare Nana Akufo-Addo winner and Ghanas rightful President. He noted that the current situation where Ghana was facing a power crisis, no LPG, no water was symptomatic of the poor leadership and lack of foresight by the John Mahama led NDC led government.
