Prez Mahama In "Show Off"

Kwamena Duncan, a member of the Communication Team of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has indicated that the change of name of the Presidential palace is a way for President Mahama 'to show off'. The Information Minister, Mahama Ayariga, admitted in an interview with Kwami Sefa-Kayi on Wednesday, that the governing National Democratic Congress under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama has changed the name of the seat of government from the Flagstaff House to the Jubilee Flagstaff House; a position which is contrary to their initial action of changing it from the Golden Jubilee House to the Flagstaff House. The multi-million dollar presidential palace was refurbished by the erstwhile Kufuor administration and named Golden Jubilee House but this was mutated by the administration of the late President John Evans Atta Mills to the Flagstaff House. Kwamena Duncan described the recent change of name by the Mahama led administration as hypocritical; an act which is not going to make any difference baring the current situation the country is facing. Late President Mills changed the name from Jubilee House to Flagstaff House to tell former President John Agyekum Kufuor that he is the one in charge; President Mahama has also changed the name to say that late Prof Mills is no more and he is the one in charge, he mentioned. Kwamena Duncan contributing to a panel discussion on Kokrokoo with Kwami Sefa-Kayi, opined: This President cannot focus on the substantive issues facing the country. The National Democratic Congress (NDC) claims to have a youthful, knowledgeable President but is this the Post-Independence, special wisdom category star of the Volta administration? You have a President and this is what he engages in; changing names on the blind side of Ghanaians; from flagstaff House to Jubilee Flagstaff House instead of thinking of the bread and butter issues of Ghanaians.
