The Information and Media Relations Minister, Mahama Ayariga has suggested those calling for his resignation should rather praise him for correcting and taking responsibility for his mistakes on the job. Pro New Patriotic Party (NPP) group, Young Democrats has called for the immediate dismissal of Information Minister, Mahama Ayariga. This is after the Minister admitted he erred when he stated on an Accra based radio station that the name of the seat of government had been renamed as Jubilee-Flagstaff House. However in an interview on Eyewitness News on Friday, Mr. Ayariga stated that �I thought they would be praising me as a Minister of Information who always come out and then correct when there are errors and then put the right information out there.� According to him, what happened �is no major challenge that we have in this country; being honest, being truthful, and recognizing when you make a mistake and being precious to yourself to correct ourselves and accept the correction and I think that is what some of us are trying to present in the media.� �I am sure the Young Patriots, clearly, I am not sure they were happy I was appointed as Minister in the first place,� he added.
