General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie has unrepentantly rained salvos at all those who have disapproved of his utterances, that the NDC spearheaded by Prez Mahama masterminded Dr. Bawumia�s accident on Sunday. According to Sir John, he does not understand why he has come under intense tongue lashing over his statement, because others have made equally or worst comments over the years and gotten away with it. He categorically stated that he has evidence to the effect that President Mahama with the aid of the National security, attempted to assassinate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the former Gorvernor of the Bank of Ghana and the running mate to the Presidential candidate of the NPP in the 2012 general elections. The outspoken NPP General Secretary sought to find out why the tyres of three cars in the convoy of Dr. Bawumia deflated on the same day. The answer to this question, he claims, led him to order for the towing of the mangled vehicle from the highways of Bole Bamboi without notifying the appropriate authorities because he could not trust the police. �It would only take a sensible human being to understand what I am saying. As for Asiedu Nketia, I don�t blame him because the issues are beyond him,� he told Accra-based Asempa FM, after Sam Pee Yaley, a Public Interest Lawyer and a Member of the NDC issued a statement questioning his motive for towing away Bawumia�s mangled vehicle from the accident scene and calling on the police to effect his arrest for tampering with evidence.
