Kpegahs Impersonation Claim Is A Symptom Of Old Age John Boadu

John Boadu has said that Justice Francis Kpegahs recent allegation that Nana Akufo-Addo is not a lawyer is a symptom of old age. John Boadu noted that the retired Supreme Court Judge should be pardoned for the gaffe because forgetfulness is very common with aging. Justice Kpegah has sued the 2012 presidential candidate of the NPP at the High Court for impersonating one W.E.D Akufo-Addo, a practicing lawyer in Ghana. The retired Judge said his checks at the General Legal Council revealed that Nana Akufo-Addo was never called to the Bar in Ghana and his name was not in the roll of lawyers in the country. Justice Kpegahs claims incurred the wrath of some lawyers who worked closely with Akufo-Addo. They argued that the suit coming from a retired Justice of the Supreme Court is an affront to the legal profession in the country. The NPP has also dismissed the allegations which they claim are intended to denigrate the hard earned integrity of its flagbearer. But speaking on Asempa FMs Ekosii Sen programme Wednesday, John Boadu a member of the NPP communication team said the criticisms against Justice Kpegah were harsh. He maintained that the retired Supreme Court Judge will not make such a blunder if he were to be younger. The NPP man indicated that Justice Kpegahs case is not peculiar because it is something every human being will go through in life. John Boadu appealed to the families and close acquaintances of Justice Kpegah to help save him from such embarrassment. On his part, the Editor of the Gye Nyame Concord newspaper, Alfred Ogbamey said Justice Kpegah is just playing mischief. In his opinion, the retired Supreme Court Judge knows that Nana Akufo-Addo is a lawyer but just want to ridicule the law.Alfred Ogbamey said Justice Kpegah will achieve his purpose if Nana Addo has not gone through a formal name change. "He [Kpegah]is not a mad man; there is method in this 'madness'. Justice Kpegah knows Nana Akufo-Addo is the said W.E.D Akufo-Addo".
