Tension Heightens In NPP

The Yendi Constituency communication team of the New Patriotic Party, (NPP) has condemned what it describes as the partys General Secretary's recent attacks on the Communication Director, Nana Akomea. Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as Sir John, lashed out at the former NPP Member of Parliament for Okaikoi South, Nana Akomea, warning him to tread cautiously when addressing him as the NPP General Secretary. Sir John's outbursts followed Nana Akomeas critique of the partys chief scribes allegation that President John Mahama and the National Security apparatus masterminded Dr. Mahamudu Bawumias accident on the Bole Bamboi road in the Northern region. The NPP General Secretary described Nana Akomea as a mere appointee whose services to the party were over after the 2012 general elections. According to a member of the Yendi Constituency NPP communication team, Abubakari Zakaria, Mr. Afriyie should be tolerant of the views of other members of the party. He indicated that personality attacks within the NPP could give opponents the chance to deepen the seeming cracks within the party. There are architects who are just trying to knock our heads because they know very well that we are going to win the battle at the Supreme Court and so they are doing everything possible to divide us," he stated.
