Most NPP Members Take Delight In Being Arrested By The Police - Joseph Yamin

The Ashanti Regional Secretary of the NDC, Joseph Yammin, has told Okay FM that upon series of personal observations, he has come to an indubitable conclusion that most NPP members take delight in passing controversial comments which would attract the police to arrest them and put them behind bars. Mr. Yammins outcry was borne out of an allegation by Mr. David Osei, a member of the NPPs Ashanti Regional communication team that the shooting incident which occurred in the Garden City recently, was a mock rehearsal by criminals who have been trained by the NDC. Mr. David Osei re-emphasized that the criminals had been equipped with how to handle foreign ammunition and were battle-ready to unleash violence in their opponents stronghold should the Supreme Court rule in favour of the NPP. About 30 suspected criminals last week Tuesday, reportedly took different directions on unregistered motor bikes, firing guns sporadically to scare off members of the public in their attempt to escape police arrest at Ayigya in Kumasi. The criminals were said to have gathered for a robbery attack but became scared when they learnt that the police had got information about their intended action. In a sharp rebuttal to Mr. David Oseis claim, Mr. Yammin stated that the content of his message, were saddled with libelous attacks on the NDC and the Ghana Police could do their possible best to extend an invitation to Mr. Osei to assist them in unraveling the truth of the matter. He continued that as long as the NPP members believe the best time to demonstrate is when the police arrest their member, Ghanaians should expect to see the party (NPP) urging most of it members to court controversies which would lead to an arrest. I recall the Regional Organizer of the NPP in the Ashanti Region, Kennedy Kankam stood on a campaign platform at Bekwai and revealed that the NPP as a party, takes delight in the fact that they can organize themselves well and demonstrate at the police backyard when one of their member is arrested. This was when the NPP was launching their campaign in Ashanti Region.
