General Secretary of the People�s National Convention (PNC), Bernard Mornah says it is important to look at the true cause of road accidents on our roads instead of �playing politics with it�. He was reacting to the recent brouhaha over the cause of the accident of Dr. Mahumudu Bawumia, vice Presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Sir John�s suspicion that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) was involved. The General Secretary of the NPP, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as Sir John faced a lot of criticism when he cited the NDC for complicity in the accident because he felt the circumstances that led to the accident were too bizarre. Speaking to Kwami Sefa-Kayi on Peace FM�s morning show �Kokrokoo�, Bernard Mornah described the allegation of Sir John as a hasty one and suggested that he makes more consultation before coming out to issue such statement; �because when you compare what Sir John said with the statement of Dr. Bawumia, you will realize some departures�. �It was too hasty a decision to take. It is important to find the true cause of the accidents instead of playing politics with it. The true cause of the accidents should be focused on. We should allow the security agencies to investigate and conclude on the issue�, he indicated. In a related story, Bernard Mornah has urged the NPP to look at Justice Kpegah�s accusation in a good light. Justice Francis Kpegah, a former Supreme Court Judge has accused the flagbearer of the NPP, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo of impersonating one William Addo Danquah Akufo Addo; an accusation many have come out to condemn. However, Bernard Mornah says if he (Justice Kpegah) is given the chance, he (Justice Kpegah) will put the issue of whether Nana Addo is a lawyer or not to rest. According to him, the issue of whether Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo is a lawyer or not has been in the media circles for a while; �it comes and goes and there is the need to put an end to it; the only way this issue can be brought to a closure is for the court to declare that Nana Addo is truly a lawyer �and that is what Justice Kpegah is doing.
