NPP Will Remain In Perpetual Opposition - Ade Coker

Joseph Ade Coker has said government is not distracted by what he called the "cacophony of noises" by the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP). He said the Mahama-led administration was intently focused on ways to fix the socio-economic crisis confronting Ghanaians and will not be distracted. Ade Coker was commenting on the recent water and power crisis facing the populace on Asempa FMs Ekosii Sen programme Monday. The NDC Greater Accra Chairman said attempts by the opposition to put a spin on the situation or anything else for political expediency won't wash. "NPP should continue with the cacophony of noises but their litany of lamentation will keep them in perpetual opposition," Mr Coker stated. He said government was facing difficulties today due to the mismanagement of the economy by the erstwhile NPP administration. Ade Coker intimated that government had incurred extra cost trying to complete all projects started by the NPP a situation he said had gravely depleted the state coffers. The NDC man cautioned members of the opposition not to delude themselves into thinking that Ghanaians will vote for them in the next elections given the present hardships. He said the country was on the verge of take off because the NDC will live up to its promise of a Better Ghana and President Mahama will be rewarded by being re-elected in 2016. Mr Coker urged the NPP to offer cogent solutions to the socio-economic problems of the country instead of their usual propaganda.
