Yammin: NDC Will Stoke Embers Of Fire Between Sir John And Nana Akomea

Ashanti Regional Secretary of the NDC, Joseph Yammin, has expressed extreme delight at the internal wrangling between the General Secretary for the New Patriotic Party, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie and the partys Communications Director, Nana Akomea; vowing to stoke more fire into the matter to keep it burning. In an interview Mr. Yammin granted Okay FMs Kwame Nkrumah Tikese, he joyfully promised to support the two NPP Communicators with everything they needed to keep their fight alive. We are going to help them by stoking the embers of fire for them to keep the fight up, he said. Barely a week ago, the NPP General Secretary directly spike the Communications Director for the party when he announced on Okay FM that Ghanaians should discard messages from Nana Akomea when he (Sir John) hasnt given an approval. The party's position isn't declared by Nana Akomea...if he is the Communication Director, he acts based on what I have told him. He doesnt speak for the party, every party matter is communicated by me and everything I say is final...take whatever you hear from Nana Akomea or any other person as a personal message. I am the General Secretary of the party, he said. Many observers, who have offered opinions on the cause of the in-fighting, believe Nana Akomeas intention to contest Sir John for the party's General Secretary position ahead of the partys National Delegates Conference could have ignited the beef, although Nana Akomea has categorically stated that he has no such ambitions. In perhaps what can be described as a deliberate ploy to fuel the feud, Mr. Yammin noted that Sir John is unhappy about the way Nana Akomea has suddenly taken over his job. Sir John is lamenting because he feels there is nothing left for him to do. And he prays the media never address Nana Akomea as the Communications Director after the elections, the NDC Ashanti Regional Secretary said. According to Mr. Yamin: the election is over and Sir John believes the person who officially speaks for the party is the General Secretarywe are going to help them (Sir John and Nana Akomea) with what they want to keep the fight running.
