MP Confesses: I Suffered Insomnia When Prez Mahama Appointed Me As Minister

His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama, In accordance with articles 79 of the 1992 Constitution, released his fourth list of Deputy Minister nominees on Tuesday. In a statement signed by the Executive Secretary of the president Dr Raymond Atuguba, Rachael Florence Apoh, was named as deputy minister for the Ministry of Gender, Children & Social Protection. Overwhelmed by her nomination, the newly appointed deputy minister who is also the Member of Parliament for the Gomoa Central constituency told Okay FM that she suffered an insomnia when the news broke out that she has been selected by the president to assist Nana Oye-Lithur at the ministry. �I want to thank the President for having faith in me and appointing me to work alongside the minister in charge of Gender, Children & Social Protection ministry...I was asleep when I was awoken by a call. I was informed by the caller to tune into the radio and listen to the good news�. �I was filled with extreme joy because I never expected this. All my colleagues can testify that because I am a new MP, I had all my concentration on doing my parliamentary works. I never expected to be called to work directly for the president through a ministry. I couldn�t sleep and as at 2 a.m, my eyes were still not shut. I was filled with joy�, she revealed.
