President Mahama swears-in first batch of Deputy Ministers

President Dramani Mahama on Thursday appealed to Deputy Ministers to exhibit attitudes that would reflect the development agenda and programme of government in their areas of jurisdiction. He urged them to also work in tandem with their Regional Ministers to be able to deliver their development goals in the regions. President Mahama made this appeal when he swore-in nine Regional Deputy Ministers at the Flagstaff House, Kanda. The Deputies, who were nominated and vetted a couple of weeks ago include; Justice Samuel Adjei, Brong Ahafo Region, Samuel Yaw Adusei, Ashanti Region, Queenstar Maame Pokuah Sawyerr, Central Region, Mavis Ama Frimpong, Eastern Region and Isaac Nii Djanmah, Greater Accra. The rest include; Daniel AwenyueSyme, Upper East Region, Abu Kasangbata, Upper West Region, Francis Komla Ganyaglo, Volta Region and Alfred Ekow Gyan , Western Region. He said the fact that they were Deputy Ministers should not be an opportunity for them to engage their Ministers in petty squabbles, but I will like to appeal to you to cooperate with your Ministers to accomplish our development agenda. Mr Isaac Nii Djanmah on behalf of his colleagues thanked President Mahama for the confidence reposed in them and promised to work hard to accomplish the development agenda of government. We promise not to disappoint you and we promise not to disappoint the people of Ghana, he concluded.
