ROBIN VAN PERSIE scored his first goal for Manchester United in 11 games to inch them ever closer to a 20th league title.
The Dutchman, whose last goal came on February 10, coolly slotted home a second half penalty after Michael Carrick had given Alex Ferguson�s men an early lead at Stoke.
The victory puts United 15 points clear of Manchester City once more, with their rivals involved in this weekend�s FA Cup semi-final.
And it means Stoke continue their rotten run in 2013, with only one Premier League win since December and the pressure mounting on boss Tony Pulis.
