Premier League 'Super Clash' Fixed For Next Month

The lenses will be focused on the Accra Sports Stadium when the two most glamorous clubs, Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko face-off in the Premiership Super Clash in arguably the most expectant game in the second round next month. The Premier League Board, (PLB) has fixed Sunday, May 5, as the date for the clash which serves a reverse fixture between the two rivals. The game to be hosted by Hearts was fixed for the first Sunday of the month following Kotokos exit from the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) Champions League. Originally, the game was scheduled for Sunday May 12, as the PLB altered the seasons time table to accommodate Kotokos campaign which ended at the Baba Yara Stadium following an embarrassing draw with Algerian JSM Bejaia a fortnight ago. Struggling Hearts managed to pick a point off Kotoko when both met in Kumasi during the first round in a game that marked the formers David Duncans debut as trainer. Meanwhile, the PLB has pushed all the weekends matches a day forward. Games were initially billed to take place on Saturday, April 20.
