NPP Lawyers Are Not Ready For This Court Case; They Want to Play Delay Tactics

General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketia has said lawyers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are not well organized to defend their petition in court so they are using ways and means to play delay tactics so the case would be delayed. According him, instead of the petitioner, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to complain that he is exhausted, lawyers of the NPP rather prayed for an adjournment so Bawumia would respite just to waste time. Even Bawumia himself did not say he is tired but rather lawyer Addison told the judges that from the face of Bawumia in the witness box, he is tired. So must someone say that for Bawumia before he will know he is tired? It is strange because if Dr. Bawumia is tired, he is supposed to say that not the lawyers. Because the lawyers are not ready, NPP as a party is not ready so they would want to play delay tactics to keep the case pending in court Judges with old ages did not even say they are tired so why a young vibrant Dr. Bawumia who himself said he wanted to stand when offered a chair to sit in the witness box. The truth of the matter is NPP is not ready for this case. They did the same thing on Tuesday and put blame on the EC rather. Thank God they have been exposed today, he told Asempa FM. Nonetheless, Asiedu Nketia expressed ecstasy on Wednesdays court proceeds as the vice presidential candidate of the opposition NPP stated clearly that their party does not trust any of their polling agents yet represented the party at the polling stations. I was happy and shocked to hear Dr. Bawumia saying in court that they dont trust any of the polling agents, so whether they (the Polling agents) signed or not that is not their issue. Theirs is to see to it that there is no riot at any polling station so if the agents sign any document; it is not in the name of the NPP. Then NPP party wants to tell Ghanaians that their polling agents were not working for the NPP, then they should arrest all they polling agents rather that bring the case before the court, he said. He caution the general public to restrain any comment from the NPP after any court proceedings since they are not prepared for the case.
