Strip-Search Case: Ministry Denies Receiving Formal Complaint

There might not be an inquiry into the strip-search conducted on some final year female candidates of the OLA Girls Senior High School at Kenyase soon. This is because officials at the Ministry of Education have not received any official complaint from the Asutifi District Education Directorate as well as the Ola Girls Senior High School concerning the issue. Public Relations Officer of the Ministry, Paul Krampah, told Ultimate radio in an interview that his outfit will act once a formal complaint is received from the educational directorate. Candidates for this years West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) at OLA Girls Senior High School alleged they were being humiliated by their invigilators. They say that the female candidates at the Centre were subjected to a strip-search in the full glare of the male invigilators.
