Deeper Life Launches Press Corps; Urges Media To Spread The Gospel

The Deeper Christian Life Ministry has urged the media to help in spreading of the Gospel per the commission given by Jesus Christ. Speaking at a launch of a press corps which is made up of journalists from 20 media houses in Accra, the National Overseer of the church, Pastor John Borham said the impression being given to the world nowadays especially in the news is that everything going on in the world is negative; if it is not accidents, then it is earthquake or murder. In view of this the media needs to help in assuring Ghanaians that God is still in the business of doing good things. According to him, the formation of the press corps is to help the Church in its vision of sending the gospel to every nook and cranny in the country. A lot of good things happen but people hear more of the bad news and there is the need for it to change. We must let the world know that all is not bad. When the media helps in sharing the good news of God, the world and our nation will change. Our country needs redemption and we believe in partnership with the media, this will be achieved, Pastor Boham noted. Speaking on the same platform, the rector of the Ghana Institute of Journalism, Mr. David Newton said the media needs to be well informed and to be technologically in-tuned so that nothing will take them by surprise. He said in discharging their duties, they must get close to God and that will help them to also share the good news of the Lord. Apart from that he said the country must also put God first since that is the only key to success. God is the only one who can show us the way in placing the country where it belongs, adding seek ye first the kingdom of God and its righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you he indicated.
