Kessben FM Win 8 Awards

Kessben FM has once again proven that it is a giant in the radio industry in Ashanti Region and Ghana in general. The station, over the weekend, grabbed eight awards in different categories at the Ashanti Radio Awards ceremony held in Kumasi. Owned by business mogul, Kwabena Kesse, Kessben FM won eight awards at the Foklex Media Awards ceremony. These included five gold’s and three silvers, topping as the most decorated radio station at the event. Among the winners from Kessben FM on the day were Alvin Yaw Adu Boakye aka ‘Omanhene,’ who emerged as Radio Personality of the Year 2012. Ali Baba Dankambari recorded hat trick of gold medals, topmost of which was the Best Twi Newscaster in the region. Ali Baba also won gold with Confidence K. Baah for the most listened to programme, ‘Breaking News’ was adjudged as the programme of the year. He once again won gold with Akuoko Kwarteng for the Best Collaboration, Newspaper Review on morning show. Danny Boy also ensured Kessben FM won its fifth gold at the ceremony as he bagged the Best Drive Time Presenter. As if not enough, Kessben FM’s Programme Manager, Omanhene also won silver in the Best Morning Show Category. In the sports category, Kwaku Ahenkorah won silver in the Foreign Sports Presenter category. Prince Agyenim Boateng also won silver as the Best Sports Commentator to climax a successful day for the station.
