The police were as usual at post to ensure order at the premises of the Supreme Court on the fourth day of the hearing of the Election Petition. A Ghana News Agency (GNA)team observed that the atmosphere at the Court premises was calm with social activities going on smoothly. Mr Tsatsu Tsikata and Tony Lithur, both members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Legal Team arriving at the court at about 0940 hours followed by Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia, General Secretary of the NDC, as well as Dr Kwadwo Afari Gyan, Chairman of the Electoral Commission. Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo Addo, the 2012 Presidential Candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Mr Phillip Addison a lead counsel for the Petitioners were also in Court. The police screened people entering the court premises, including staff of the Judicial Service, journalists, Legal Practitioners and other private individuals. The GNA also observed that though there was heavy vehicular traffic on the High Street, police personnel were posted at specific points to ensure an orderly and smooth flow of traffic. Judicial staff were seen going about their normal duties, while lawyers and their clients also carried out their transactions.
