"I Am Missing European Football' - Asamoah Gyan

Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan has alerted top clubs in England, France and Germany by saying that he wants to return to top-flight competition in Europe. The 27-year-old, who currently plays for Al Ain, left English Premier League two years ago to join United Arab Emirates club in a bumper cash deal. The former Sunderland player, who scored 11 goals in 34 appearances on Wearside, in one season at the club has achieved great success in the UAE after just two years. Gyan helped his club claim an 11th Etisalat Pro League title over the weekend by firing a hat-trick in a 3-0 success against Dubai. The Ghana captain has been a veritable goal machine since moving to the UAE, bagging 52 goals in just 44 games for Al Ain. Despite his successes in the UAE, Gyan wants to return Europe when the game enjoys massive patronage from the fans at the stadium. I have won two titles here. I am scoring goals, but Im not playing in front of 50,000 fans, he said. I am missing European football sometimes, but dont get me wrong I am happy here and its nice to be here. However, if there is a possibility to return to a very good European club then of course I would take the opportunity. It would be very exciting to score goals again in a European league. Gyan spent a solitary season in the Premier League with Sunderland where he cut a popular figure amongst fans. He also played for clubs in the Italian and French top-flight leagues.
