Outstanding Entrepreneurs to receive awards on Saturday, May 4

Some outstanding Ghanaian and non Ghanaian entrepreneurs have been nominated to receive honours at the 3rd UT Ghana Entrepreneur Awards and Gala dinner 2012, on the theme:� Celebrating Entrepreneurship, the engine of economic growth.� The event scheduled for Saturday, May 4 at the State Banquet Hall, in Accra is being organised by Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana (EFG), with UT Bank as the title sponsor. The awards have been endorsed by the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ministry of Finance and Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Zoomlion Group, Anointed Electricals Engineering Services, Melcom Group, Business and Financial Times, Business Times Magazine, Ghana Business and Finance Magazine, Agoo Magazine, Crystal TV, Segass Media, Ghanaweb, The Entrepreneur Magazine, TV Africa, Condor Peak Wine, Fruit Telli and Voltic Mineral Water are also supporting the event. The Chairman of the occasion is Dr Joseph Siaw Agyepong, Executive Chairman of Zoomlion and Jospong Group of Companies. The Guest speaker is Mr Prince Kofi Amoabeng, Chief Executive Officer, UT Bank, whilst the Special Guest of Honour is Mr Rashid Pelpuo, Minister of State at the Presidency in charge of Public Private Partnerships. Mr Ato Sam Gaisie, Founder and President of EFG said in a statement issued to Ghana News Agency in Accra, on Monday, that the key objective of the awards was to recognise and reward the best entrepreneurs in the Ghanaian business community for their contribution to economic growth and spurring job creation. Expected at the awards are members of the Diplomatic Corps, Ministers of State, Members of Parliament, Business Executives and US Entrepreneurs. They include Nii Ansah-Adjaye ,Chief Director ,Ministry of Trade and Industry, Dr Kofi Amoah, Chief Executive Officer ,Progeny Ventures LLC and Citizen Kofi Entertainment, Mr Kwame Achampong Kyei, Executive Chairman, Glico Group of Companies, Mr Kwesi Amoafo-Yeboah, Chairman of I-Tel Ghana Limited (Ltd), Dr Michael Agyekum Addo, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kama Group, Mrs Edith Dankwa, Executive Director, Business and Financial Times, Mr Edward Boateng, Executive Chairman, Global Media Alliance, Professor Kwaku Atuahene-Gima, Executive Director , CEIBS and Mr Joe Takie, CEO, Private Sector Development Strategy.
