NDC Communicator To Dr. Bawumia: We Are Not In Court For Lectures, Substantiate Your Allegations

A member of the communication team for the NDC, Bernard Anim Piesie has ascertained that the only thing the second petitioner in the on-going cross-examination, Dr. Bawumia seems to be doing is lecturing in the court room instead of sustaining his unfounded allegations against the Electoral Commission. He said that Dr. Bawumia is only deceiving the public as he wants to play on the intelligence of the judges at the Supreme Court; adding that lawyer Quarshie-Idun has done his part to demonstrate that what Dr. Bawumia claims to be over-voting cannot be accepted to be the true verdict, and that the idea that some people voted without verification is a farce. Speaking on Okay FM, he said that it has been exposed that the exhibits the NPP petitioners sent to the Supreme Court were concocted by them, because there are records of duplication of all their pink sheets which they filed at the Supreme Court. He revealed that Dr. Bawumias response to the duplication was a sham when he (Dr. Bawumia) replied that he never used them in his analysis; and however wondered why he sent them to court in the first place. He again hinted that for lack of evidence, the NPP petitioners added parliamentary pink sheets to their exhibits. He further said that though Dr. Bawumia has been impressive with his submission and can respond to the issues well, the court case is not about articulation, adding that we are not in court for us to be lectured but then the allegations he has leveled against the EC and NDC should be substantiated throughout the cross-examination. He said that the purpose of the cross-examination is to punch holes in Dr. Bawumias claims to unveil the lies out of the innumerous pink sheets; adding that the fact that he responds with explanations does not mean his response carries weight to thrash the results from the 2012 elections. He however stated that Dr. Bawumia has lied with his tabulations on the pink sheets to deceive the court and cannot admit them but to deny using lies in his analysis of the results; stressing that the case is not about who is more impressive or articulate with questions and answers but to be able to prove that the issues concerning the pink sheets have any effect on the 2012 election results.
